Gwangju Seo-gu, Women's Friendly Company Certification Agreement This Year

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Seo Dae-seok) selected companies that strive to create a gender-equal working environment on the 13th, signed certification agreements as women-friendly companies, and awarded certification plaques.

According to Seo-gu on the 14th, the companies selected this year are Cheongchun Balsan Cooperative, Jooyeon Co., Ltd., JI General Construction Co., Ltd., and Jeonil Industrial Construction Co., Ltd. These companies were recognized for their efforts to create a women-friendly organizational culture such as flexible working hours and telecommuting, and were certified as women-friendly companies.

They are also actively utilizing related systems to enable work-family balance, such as actively hiring female personnel.

After this certification agreement ceremony, they promised to continuously work to eliminate discrimination in recruitment, promotion, wages, and to realize gender equality in employment and working environment.

Meanwhile, Seo-gu has selected eight companies as women-friendly companies from 2018 to last year.

This year, they plan to continuously expand the project by discovering four companies, providing incentives such as support for environmental improvement project costs, certification plaques, and promotion to enhance corporate image for these companies.
