KT Telecop Launches Remote Access Security Service 'GigaEyes iPass'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Security specialist KT Telecop announced on the 14th that it has launched the non-face-to-face access security service ‘GiGAeyes i-pass,’ which combines intelligent CCTV and contactless biometric authentication system for the first time in the industry, together with KT.
GiGAeyes i-pass is an intelligent access security service that verifies visitors via a CCTV installed at the entrance door through a mobile app and PC, and remotely opens the door in real time. People who have been granted access can enter using fingerprint, facial, or iris authentication, and those who have not can be verified through real-time video on PC or mobile app.
During times when direct access management is difficult, users can switch to ‘Please’ mode to use KT Telecop’s professional monitoring service. If abnormal situations such as door opening attempts are detected, the monitoring center immediately checks, and in emergencies such as intrusions, it can promptly respond by reporting to 112 or 119.
The video is provided in Full HD (high resolution) using KT’s network, and the recorded footage is stored on KT Cloud. In case of any damage, compensation services are also available, including enhanced indemnity and fire recovery support funds depending on the situation.
GiGAeyes i-pass consists of 1 to 8 intelligent CCTVs and 1 access security reader, and the usage fee starts from 25,000 KRW (for 1 CCTV + fingerprint reader, 36-month contract, when combined with KT internet and mobile).
