"Our City Budget, We Take Charge!" ... Gimhae City Opens Applications for 3rd Resident Participatory Budget Committee Until End of This Month
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City, Gyeongnam Province, will publicly recruit members for the 3rd Resident Participation Budget Committee from the 12th until the end of this month.
The Resident Participation Budget Committee is an organization established to guarantee resident participation in the budget formulation process and to enhance the transparency of budget allocation.
The number of recruits is 20, excluding 19 recommended by the heads of eup, myeon, and dong, and 6 recommended by professional organizations, out of a total of 45 members.
Eligibility to participate includes residents with an address in Gimhae or representatives (executives or employees) of businesses with headquarters or branches in Gimhae who have an interest in or a strong willingness to participate in the resident participation budget.
Selected members will belong to one of four subcommittees: General Administration, Welfare and Culture, Economy and Environment, and Urban Construction. For two years, they will participate in the budget formulation process, including reviewing and deliberating resident-proposed projects, submitting the final budget plan, and collecting resident opinions.

Applications can be submitted by filling out the application form available on the city hall website or at each eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare center, and then sending it via email or visiting the Planning and Budget Office at city hall in person.
