The signing ceremony was attended by Changwon University President Lee Ho-young, Planning Director Park Kyung-hoon, Talent Development Center Director Ahn Cheol-jin, STX Engine CEO Park Ki-moon, and other executives and staff.
This agreement was prepared with the purpose of practical industry-academia cooperation based on the shared intentions gathered during CEO Park's visit to President Lee in September.
According to the agreement, industry and academia will mutually cooperate in developing and operating recruitment tracks and education tailored to fostering local talent, providing on-site internships and job training for university (graduate) students linked to employment, exchanging technical information and consulting, jointly utilizing facilities and equipment, and sharing human and material resources.

President Lee said, "We will strive to support the university's R&D necessary for the growth of STX Engine, which has global competitiveness in ship engines and land-based plant engines," and added, "We will jointly promote educational programs to cultivate specialized talent required by companies and create a collaborative model that enables industry-academia co-growth."
