Yoo Gi-sang, Gochang County Governor, Goes All Out to Secure Next Year's National Budget

According to the county on the 12th, County Governor Yu Gisang started the first step of securing the national budget at the National Assembly deliberation stage by visiting central government ministries such as the Ministry of Strategy and Finance.

On that day, Governor Yu met with executives of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, including Kim Wan-seon, Budget General Review Officer, Kang Wangu, Social Budget Review Officer, and Lim Gi-geun, Economic Budget Review Officer, to explain the necessity and justification of Gochang-gun's key pending projects before the National Assembly deliberation stage and requested support.

In particular, he explained the urgency of each project, including ▲ Heungdeok and Buan public sewage treatment plant expansion project ▲ Sunset and ecological tidal flat platform construction project ▲ Donghak Peasant Revolution sacred site project, and requested additional budget reflection at the National Assembly stage.

He also visited Lee Yunsang, Director of Roads at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, to express gratitude for the final reflection support of the Gochang-Buan National Road No. 77 (Noeul Bridge) in the 5-year plan for national and local roads.

Starting with this visit to central government ministries, the county plans to continue full-scale activities to increase the budget at the National Assembly deliberation stage by visiting local constituency and standing committee members of the National Assembly until December, when the National Assembly's main budget is passed.

Governor Yu Gisang said, "From this month to next month, when the National Assembly budget review takes place, it is the most important period for securing national funds, and I will actively visit the National Assembly and central government ministries frequently to secure the national budget." He added, "I will move quickly until December, when the National Assembly's main budget is finalized, and cooperate with local political circles and Jeonbuk Province to make every effort to secure the national budget."
