Gwangju Seo-gu 'Online Family Peaceful Unification Quiz Contest' Successfully Concluded
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 6th that it held the 'Let's Solve It, Unification!' online family peace unification quiz competition for families with elementary school children nationwide on the 4th.
This quiz competition was held to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the October 4th Inter-Korean Summit Declaration and to promote children's correct historical perspective and interest in unification. Pre-registration was accepted from August 23 to September 26 for a total of 100 families with elementary school children.
The event was a non-face-to-face online quiz competition where participants watched 30 questions, including true/false quizzes and short-answer questions related to unification, via ZOOM screen, and simultaneously selected answers from options displayed on the WeLiveOn app. Prizes were awarded to ranks 1 to 36, and participants who completed the event received a 5,000 KRW cultural gift certificate.
A student who participated in the event said, "It was convenient to participate in the quiz competition non-face-to-face without spatial restrictions during the COVID-19 situation, and it was meaningful to participate in an event where I could understand North Korea and unification."
Seo Dae-seok, Mayor of Seo-gu, said, "I believe the online family peace unification quiz competition was a joyful and memorable time for all participants," and added, "I hope this competition served as a valuable opportunity to think about unification once again."
