Kia Sorento Named 'Best Caravan Towing Performance Vehicle' by UK Media
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Kia's flagship SUV, Sorento, won the overall championship at the UK's "Tow Car Awards 2021," which selects vehicles with excellent towing performance for camping caravans.
According to Kia on the 4th, the UK automotive media "What Car," which hosts the Tow Car Awards, highly evaluated Sorento's stable driving performance, practicality, and safety, selecting it as the overall winning vehicle.
This was the result of testing high-speed driving and braking with caravans attached to about 40 models ranging from small hatchbacks to luxury SUVs.
What Car evaluated that the 2.2 diesel powertrain equipped in the Sorento is ideal for towing heavy caravans and takes only 11.3 seconds to accelerate from 30 mph (48 km/h) to 60 mph (97 km/h).

The spacious interior that can accommodate up to seven passengers and USB ports installed inside the vehicle also received good evaluations in terms of practicality. Sorento scored the highest, surpassing the BMW X5, Volkswagen Passat, and Ford Ranger pickup truck.
