Wanju-gun Accelerates Sale of Agricultural and Industrial Complex Units
61% Sold in One and a Half Years... Early Sale Expectations
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Han-ho] The occupancy rate of the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) agricultural and industrial complex in Wanju-gun is rapidly increasing.
On the 29th, Wanju-gun announced that the occupancy rate has reached 61% just one and a half years after the start of sales, coinciding with a 74% progress rate of the agricultural and industrial complex.
This is analyzed to be due to favorable geographical conditions with good connectivity to the surrounding clustered industrial complexes, as well as excellent transportation networks.
The "Wanju SME Agricultural and Industrial Complex Development Project," promoted through a public-private partnership with an investment of 58.9 billion KRW, is expected to gain further momentum.
This is because of the change in the attraction industries and area, resulting in a (changed) sales announcement for industrial facility land (233,372㎡) and an (additional) sales announcement for support facility land (6,626㎡).
Among these, the support facility land will begin bidding through Onbid for two weeks from October 1 to 14.
Wanju-gun plans to further revitalize the agricultural and industrial complex by meeting corporate needs, such as diversifying resident industry codes and dividing small plots to improve the product process of companies intending to move into the industrial facility land.
Additionally, to minimize the increase in emissions of air pollutants and odor substances, it plans to restrict 13 detailed subcategories of industries in consultation with the Environmental Agency.
A Wanju-gun official said, "Although it is difficult to create jobs due to the impact of COVID-19, interest in the agricultural and industrial complex is high," adding, "We will strive to achieve 100% early occupancy to contribute to job creation and economic development in Wanju-gun."
