Sampyo Group Donates 32 Million KRW to 61 Scholarship Students in Yesan Region
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Sampyo Group, a leading domestic construction basic materials company, is actively working to nurture outstanding talents who will lead the future while coexisting with the local community.
On the 28th, Sampyo Group announced that it had awarded scholarships totaling 32 million KRW and scholarship certificates to 61 local scholarship students in Yesan-gun, Chungnam, through its scholarship foundation, the Jeong In-wook Academic Scholarship Foundation.
Considering the COVID-19 situation, the scholarships and certificates were delivered individually to the scholarship students without a separate ceremony.
A Sampyo Group official said, "We hope that the students will grow into outstanding talents equipped with future capabilities," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility by cooperating and coexisting with the local community through various social contribution activities."

In August, Sampyo Group also awarded scholarships totaling 6 million KRW to eight local scholarship students in Jugyo-myeon, Boryeong-si, Chungnam. Since its establishment in 1993, the Jeong In-wook Academic Scholarship Foundation has annually selected outstanding students among middle, high school, and university students in educationally underserved areas and continuously provides scholarships. This year, approximately 200 million KRW will be awarded as scholarships to about 270 local scholarship students.
