Magnitude 4.3 Earthquake in LA Area, USA... No Casualties Reported
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] On the afternoon of the 17th (local time), a magnitude 4.3 earthquake occurred in the Los Angeles area, USA.
According to major local foreign media, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred around 8 p.m. in the LA area, but there were no casualties. The epicenter of this earthquake was near Carson, 34 km away from downtown LA. So far, no damage or casualties caused by the earthquake have been reported.
The LA Fire Department deployed vehicles and helicopters to patrol the entire area, but reported no serious damage or injuries.

The tremors from the earthquake were detected throughout the LA area. Some residents felt the ground shaking for about 10 seconds. Tremors were also reported in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills.
