Emart24 Opens 3rd and 4th Stores in Malaysia... K-Food 'Popularity'

Emart24 aims to expand to 10 stores by the end of this year and up to 300 stores within five years, establishing itself as Malaysia's leading premium convenience store. Emart24 opened its 1st and 2nd stores in Malaysia in June and July, respectively. The 1st store is located in an office district, the 2nd and 3rd stores in residential areas, and the 4th store will be in a mixed-use residential and commercial district.
An Emart24 representative said, "Despite strong movement restrictions, local customers have continued to give positive feedback on Emart24's debut in Malaysia. We plan to continuously provide differentiated products that have succeeded domestically to Emart24 Malaysia, and propose marketing, display, and promotional strategies from Korea's advanced convenience stores to maintain popularity locally through various efforts."

Meanwhile, K-food is gaining great popularity at Emart24 Malaysia. According to sales data analyzed from the 1st and 2nd stores, sales of K-food instant meals such as cup rice, tteokbokki, fried chicken, bingsu, and triangular gimbap account for 50% of total product sales. Cup rice, tteokbokki, and fried chicken sell up to 1,000 units per day, and stocks prepared for two days have sometimes run out. Snacks from Korea also show a strong response, accounting for 70% of total sales.
