Rubber Band Tied Around Mouth, Jindo Dog Found with Oral Necrosis... "Seeking the Devil"
"Abused to the Point of Bleeding and Visible Pelvic Bones"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] A Jindo dog, covered in blood and with its mouth tightly bound by a thick rubber band, was found in Jinan, Jeonbuk. The police have launched an investigation to find the owner and witnesses.
On the 14th, the Jinan Police Station in Jeonbuk announced that they began an investigation following a report from an animal organization suspecting abuse.
The police conducted inquiries targeting village chiefs near the area where the Jindo dog was found. Residents reportedly stated, "It does not seem that the Jindo dog belongs to any village resident."
The police are analyzing nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, considering the possibility that an outsider came by car and abandoned the Jindo dog.
According to Beagle Rescue Network on the previous day (the 13th), around 12:20 PM on the 11th, a Jindo dog with its mouth tightly bound by a thick rubber band was found near the Geumji intersection in Sangjeon-myeon, Jinan-gun.
Beagle Rescue Network responded to a witness’s report, rescued the Jindo dog, and transported it to a hospital.
The hospital diagnosis revealed that the dog’s mouth was tightly bound by the rubber band, causing necrosis inside the mouth and severe injuries.
Additionally, its front paws were covered in blood, and its nutritional condition was poor enough that its pelvic bones were visible. The hospital diagnosed that four weeks of inpatient treatment would be necessary.
Beagle Rescue Network explained the rescue process of this Jindo dog on their official Instagram and requested reports related to abuse or abandonment.
