KT to Hire Conversion-Type Interns in Second Half of Year... Applications Open from Tomorrow
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] KT announced on the 13th that it will conduct recruitment-conversion internships in the second half of 2021.
The recruitment fields are IT design, software (SW) development, and ICT infrastructure technology. KT is focusing on securing IT personnel for a successful transition to a digital platform company.
The application period is from the 14th to the 27th. Recruitment-conversion interns will be selected through document screening, aptitude tests, and interviews. Each stage will focus on evaluating job competency and alignment with KT's core values. To ensure fair recruitment, all stages will be conducted blindly. Considering the COVID-19 situation, KT plans to prioritize applicants' safety by conducting video interviews.
The recruitment-conversion internship, operated by KT since 2019, is a 9-week program consisting of practical training related to the 4th industrial revolution such as artificial intelligence (AI) and on-site internships for each recruitment job. Afterward, candidates undergo an executive interview and are finally hired as new employees.
Shin Hyun-ok, Head of KT's Management Support Division (Vice President), said, "We are striving to provide job opportunities to young job seekers by actively utilizing KT's technology and resources," and added, "We will continue balanced recruitment and talent development for metropolitan and regional-based talents to contribute to job creation."
