"Doctor's Phone Pointed at My Body" 30s Doctor Accused of Illegal Filming While Pretending to Use Stethoscope

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Seohyun] A doctor in his 30s was booked by the police for secretly filming a female patient’s body with a mobile phone during a medical examination.
On the 8th, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating Dr. A, in his 30s, on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes and filming using a camera, among other charges.
On the 4th, Dr. A illegally filmed a female patient using his mobile phone while examining her with a stethoscope at a hospital in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul.
The female victim became suspicious when Dr. A’s phone was pointed toward her body and reported it to the police. Officers who arrived at the scene confirmed videos on Dr. A’s phone showing the female patient being examined.
The police requested a digital forensic analysis of Dr. A’s phone to check for additional victims. It was reported that the phone contained numerous videos and photos of other women suspected to be additional victims besides the initially reported female victim.

After the incident, Dr. A was dismissed from the hospital. The hospital explained that Dr. A had been employed for only six months and had no prior record of sexual offenses at the time of hiring.
