GS25 Selected as a Meal Support Provider for Multicultural Children and Adolescents in Hwaseong City
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] GS Retail and Hwaseong City announced on the 8th that they signed an agreement for the ‘Pilot Project for Local Connection Support for Migrant Background Children and Adolescents’ at Hwaseong City Hall.
The purpose of this pilot project is to provide meal support to migrant background multicultural children and adolescents who are in vulnerable environments due to the expansion of non-face-to-face classes. Children and adolescents receiving meal support can purchase lunch boxes, milk, and other items up to 6,000 KRW per day at GS25 stores within the region.
GS Retail plans to link the meal support card payment system and inform users of the applicable locations to ensure that migrant background children and adolescents do not experience inconvenience or discrimination when purchasing a proper meal until the pilot project ends in December. They also intend to actively participate if the project is extended.
