[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Foreign Minister Chung Eui-yong will hold a Korea-China Foreign Ministers' Meeting with Wang Yi, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister, in Seoul on the 15th.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 7th, "State Councilor Wang will visit Seoul from the 14th to 15th at the invitation of Minister Chung, and the two ministers plan to hold the Foreign Ministers' Meeting on the 15th."
This Foreign Ministers' Meeting comes five months after the meeting held in Xiamen, Fujian Province in April, and it is about 10 months since Wang's last visit to Korea in November of last year.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "It will be an important opportunity to strengthen high-level communication between the two countries, seek future-oriented bilateral relations, mutual practical cooperation, and the promotion of friendly sentiments," and added, "Minister Chung plans to exchange in-depth views with State Councilor Wang on the Korean Peninsula, regional, and international issues during this meeting."
