Gangwon-do, Discovering and Supporting Global Export Companies in the 'Bio Industry'
Gangwon-do, Chuncheon-si, and Chuncheon Bioindustry Promotion Agency Sign Business Agreement
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province and Chuncheon City are collaborating with the Chuncheon Bioindustry Promotion Agency Foundation to support the expansion of exports for fostering global bio companies in the Chuncheon region.
According to the province on the 6th, the province plans to invest 3 billion KRW over five years starting next year as a pilot project with Chuncheon City to discover promising bio companies.
Beneficiary companies will be classified into export beginner, main, strong small, and global bio companies according to their export capabilities, and customized package support projects will be intensively provided according to their growth stages.
Governor Choi Moon-soon said, "We will spare no effort to support promising bio companies established in Chuncheon, designated as Korea's first pilot city for bioindustry promotion, to grow into large companies through systematic investment."
