The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education announced on the 6th that it plans to select a financial institution through an open competitive process that will handle the cash and securities transactions, safekeeping, and other treasury duties of the Office of Education for the next four years.
Eligible applicants are financial institutions with a head office or branch in the province, and interested financial institutions can submit their application forms and proposals to the Gyeonggi Office of Education over two days, from the 23rd to the 24th of this month.
Next month, the Gyeonggi Office of Education will designate the institution with the highest score as the next treasury after evaluation by the Treasury Designation Review Committee, composed of provincial assembly members, financial experts, and accountants.
The evaluation criteria and scoring are as follows: ▲ Internal and external creditworthiness and financial structure stability of the financial institution (25 points) ▲ Loan and deposit interest rates for the Office of Education (23 points) ▲ Convenience for education consumers and educational institutions (18 points) ▲ Treasury management capability (27 points) ▲ Contributions to educational institutions and cooperation projects with the Office of Education (7 points).
The next treasury financial institution will manage the Gyeonggi Office of Education's treasury from January next year until the end of December 2025.
