According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 5th, a total of 39 people were confirmed positive, including 38 local infections and 1 imported case, classified as numbers 4235 to 4240.
In particular, small-scale 'n-th infection' cases are occurring one after another at a logistics center located in Gwangsan-gu. Since the first confirmed case, Jeonnam 2591, on the 31st of last month, the cumulative total including new confirmed cases such as 4236 and 4237 has reached 27.
Regarding tests related to foreigners at the Gwangsan-gu location, 11 people including 4237 and 4240 have been infected, with a cumulative total of 117 so far.
Regarding workplaces employing foreigners, 2 people including 4216 and 4217 were confirmed, marking the first confirmed cases since the city issued an administrative order on the 3rd requiring mandatory diagnostic testing at these workplaces.
Regarding family gatherings in Seo-gu, 4 new cases including 4210 and 4211 have emerged, increasing the cumulative total to 18.
Regarding acquaintances' gatherings in Buk-gu, transmission is spreading to surrounding people based on case 4092 confirmed on the 1st, increasing the total to 14 including 4203 and 4204.
For 5 people including 4205, 4206, 4215, 4224, and 4225, the infection routes have not yet been identified.
