Eugene Investment & Securities Hosts 'Overseas Stock Acquisition Event'
You Can Buy Popular Foreign Stocks at Prices from 10 Years Ago
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] Eugene Investment & Securities announced on the 3rd that it will hold an ‘Overseas Stock Bargain Event’ where customers can purchase popular overseas stocks at prices from 10 years ago.
Among the customers participating in the event, Eugene Investment & Securities will provide the opportunity to buy stocks at the closing price on September 1, 2011, by lottery: 1 person for Google, 5 for Tesla, 10 for Apple, and 30 for Starbucks. The prices from 10 years ago by stock are Google $266.5 (approximately 308,850 KRW), Tesla $4.8, Apple $13.6, and Starbucks $19.1.
Additionally, 500 customers participating in the event will be selected by lottery to receive one share each of the popular exchange-traded fund (ETF) QYLD (GLOBAL X NASDAQ-100 COVERED CALL ETF).
This event is open only to Eugene Investment & Securities online account holders who traded overseas stocks for the first time this month and traded overseas stocks worth more than 5 million KRW during September.
An overseas stock transfer event has also been prepared. Until October 31, online comprehensive account holders who transfer overseas stocks to Eugene Investment & Securities will receive 10,000 KRW per 10 million KRW transferred. Up to 10 million KRW will be paid for transfers of 1 billion KRW. After the transfer, conditions such as trading overseas stocks worth more than 1 million KRW and maintaining the net transfer amount until December 8 must be met for the benefits to be applied finally.
Furthermore, customers applying for overseas stock trading for the first time will receive one year of free access to the US real-time quote service, which normally costs $5 per month, a lifetime preferential US stock trading commission rate of 0.08%, and an 80% preferential exchange rate benefit based on Woori Bank’s official exchange rate.
