Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education Conducts Capacity Building Consulting for 12 Affiliated Institutions
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education announced on the 2nd that it conducted a capacity-building consulting session on self-evaluation for evaluation officers of 11 affiliated institutions, including the Education Research Information Center, from July 15 to August 26.
This consulting was promoted to find solutions to problems arising in the institutional evaluation process, which has been conducted independently by affiliated institutions through self-evaluation since 2020.
Through this consulting, the Office of Education collected opinions from the evaluation officers of affiliated institutions, provided feedback on the 2020 evaluation report, and sought ways to improve the appropriateness and validity of evaluation indicator setting methods and evaluation scales.
In particular, extensive consulting was conducted on all aspects of evaluation, including developing evaluation indicators suitable for the institution's purpose, setting achievable goals, report writing and result analysis methods, quantitative evaluation measurement formulas, evaluation scale settings, and qualitative evaluation techniques.
Kim Tae-moon, Director of Policy Planning Division, said, "Since the evaluation of affiliated institutions has been converted to self-evaluation, the role of evaluation officers has become more important than before," and added, "We are preparing a capacity-building training session in November to enhance evaluation expertise."

Meanwhile, the 2021 affiliated institution evaluation plan will be established in September, and in December, affiliated institutions will independently set common indicators and self-evaluation indicators to conduct the evaluation.
