NCSoft Invests 3 Billion KRW in LiveConnect, a Performance Streaming Company
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] NCSoft is expanding its footprint in the entertainment sector by investing in a live streaming service company for performances.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, NCSoft recently invested 3 billion KRW in the live streaming service startup for contactless performances, 'LiveConnect.'
Founded in April last year, LiveConnect possesses streaming technology that delivers high-quality video and audio with low data usage, stable transmission, and no delay through data optimization and video synchronization. It supports all processes including live content planning, directing, ticketing, broadcasting, multilingual subtitles, and more for global streaming services.
They have accumulated experience by handling broadcasts for numerous concerts such as IZ*ONE, The Boyz, Kang Daniel, and the 27th Dream Concert.
The two companies plan to establish a mid- to long-term cooperative system to strengthen their capabilities in the live streaming field through this investment.

Shin Heeyong, CEO of LiveConnect, stated, "Through this investment, we plan to expand various research and development efforts to enhance the experience of customers using live streaming and accelerate the launch of new services such as 1:1 online fan meetings with artists. We also intend to strengthen collaboration with NCSoft's global fandom platform, Universe, focusing on increasing customer experience value."
