Hankook Tire Launches Shoes Made from Recycled Tires in Collaboration with Shoe Brand 'Yase'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Hankook Tire & Technology announced on the 31st that it will sell shoes made by recycling used tires through a collaboration with the leather shoe brand 'YASE' on the online fashion platform Musinsa.
YASE is a popular brand ranked high in the summer shoes category on the Musinsa Store.
Hankook Tire explained that, focusing on the fact that the main material of the shoe outsole is rubber, it proceeded with a project to produce dress shoes using used tires in collaboration with YASE.
The released shoes include four types of dress shoes: Chelsea boots, Chelsea square boots, derby shoes, and derby square shoes, as well as one type of comfort insole.

Hankook Tire and YASE also plan to release a running sneaker line, designed and manufactured together through their collaboration, in October.
