Naver Launches 'Juniverse School', an AI and SW Basic Learning Platform for Early Childhood
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver Connect Foundation announced on the 31st that it has launched 'Juniverse School,' a play-learning app for children aged 4 to 7.
Juniverse School helps children understand the basic principles of artificial intelligence (AI) and software (SW) and solve various problems. It focuses on enhancing basic math skills and logical thinking abilities.
The company stated that as the age at which children are exposed to various IT technologies such as smartphones, tablet PCs, and AI speakers is decreasing, it expects Juniverse School to establish itself as an essential educational platform for young children.
Guardians can download the Juniverse School app to access all educational content for free, and they can check their children's learning progress at a glance through guardian reports.
Juniverse School was launched with three subjects: logic, math, and coding. In October, a new subject called 'Laboratory,' where children can apply basic knowledge to solve various problems, will be added to Juniverse School.
Naver Connect Foundation collaborated with top domestic and international experts in early childhood education to build the Juniverse School curriculum. They formed partnerships with specialized early childhood education publishers such as Oxford University Press and Faktoschule, and jointly planned content with research teams from Seoul National University’s Department of Child and Family Studies, Chung-Ang University’s Department of Early Childhood Education, and Severance Hospital’s Pediatric Psychiatry Department.

Kim Ji-hyun, Secretary General of Naver Connect Foundation, said, "Until now, early childhood education has focused on knowledge acquisition and finding correct answers, but Juniverse School’s biggest difference is that it concentrates on increasing children’s curiosity and thinking about the world around them." She added, "Juniverse, which has established itself as a safe and enjoyable online playground for children for over 20 years, will do its best to provide rich educational content so that it can be reborn as a beneficial learning platform."
