Hapcheon-gun and Mitoyoshi Launch Pilot Online International Exchange Program for Middle School Students
International Exchange Pilot Project Online Video Review Meeting Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it held an online video conference to discuss the implementation of the 'Hapcheon-gun-Mitoyo Junior High School Online International Exchange Pilot Project.'
The meeting was attended by eight officials, including Principal Shim Hee-jung of Hapcheon Girls' Middle School, to discuss the timing and methods of the project.
The student online exchange is scheduled to begin in October, with about 40 students participating from Hapcheon Girls' Middle School and Mitoyo Toyonaka Junior High School.
Through group theme presentations and free chatting, students will share the cultures of both cities and promote friendship through online exchanges.
Especially as an international exchange, students will gain practical foreign language use opportunities such as using English, and individual, continuous exchanges through online platforms will be possible, helping to broaden their overseas cultural experience and perspective, fostering growth as global talents.
Mori Seiji, principal of Toyonaka Junior High School, said, “We are pleased to be able to exchange with Hapcheon Girls' Middle School and hope to continue sustainable exchanges through a deep understanding of both cities.”
Shim Hee-jung, principal of Hapcheon Girls' Middle School, responded, “I hope the students will have a valuable and enjoyable time cultivating an international perspective through mutual understanding and cooperation.”
