National Jeongdong Theater to Open 'Universal Ballet Chamber Series' on the 10th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] The National Jeongdong Theater announced on the 30th that it will hold the 'Universal Ballet Chamber Series' in collaboration with the Universal Ballet Company starting from the 10th of next month.
This chamber series, debuting in the small theater, will showcase the essence of classic masterpiece ballet performances that have long been loved by audiences. 'Swan Lake' will be performed three times from September 10th to 11th, and 'The Sleeping Beauty' will be performed three times from the 17th to 18th of the same month.
The lead roles in both productions will be performed by the principal dancers of the Universal Ballet Company. The role of Odette in 'Swan Lake' is cast with Hong Hyang-gi and Han Sang-i, and the role of Siegfried with Lee Dong-tak and Kang Min-woo. In 'The Sleeping Beauty,' the role of Aurora will be performed by Hong Hyang-gi and Son Yu-hee, and the role of Desiree by Konstantin Novoselov and Kang Min-woo.
