'Caught Again After 3 Months'... Seocho-gu Entertainment Venue Violating Gathering Ban
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A nightlife bar in Seocho-gu, Seoul, was caught by the police for illegal operation despite the administrative order to prohibit gatherings.
According to the police on the 28th, the Seocho Police Station received a 112 report around 11 p.m. the previous day stating "It seems like illegal business is being conducted," and conducted a crackdown together with the Seocho District Office, apprehending 58 people including the owner, employees, and customers of a nightlife bar in Seocho-gu for violating the Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.
The establishment had also been caught in May of this year for illegal operation violating quarantine rules, with about 50 people including the owner and customers apprehended by the police. Among those caught this time, about 30 were customers who were reportedly enjoying nightlife inside the establishment.
