Daejeon City Opens 1,185 Advertising Spaces to Citizens for Free
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 27th that it will use its own budget to allow citizens to use 1,185 advertising spaces owned by local public institutions free of charge.
This project is being promoted to reduce the advertising burden on private companies.
Eligible participants are non-profit corporations (organizations), small businesses, small merchants, and corporations (organizations) designated as administrative and financial support targets by laws (ordinances) with headquarters or main offices in Daejeon.
The application period is from the 27th of this month to the 17th of next month, and the city plans to select about 25 supported businesses through the Advertising Media Operation Committee's review in October.
Selected businesses will have their advertisements produced through talent donations from professors and students of design-related departments at Hanbat National University and Daejeon University.
The city will support the production costs and carry out the posting process in a one-stop manner. The completed advertisements are scheduled to be posted from January to June next year on large advertising boards, subway advertising panels, electronic display boards, and bus stop information terminals.
For more detailed information about the application, please refer to the announcement on the city’s website or contact the Public Relations Office at City Hall.
Meanwhile, since 2016, the city has been implementing a project to open advertising media owned by public institutions free of charge every year in the first and second half of the year.
