Nexon, Second Half Internship 'Nektorial'... Exceptional Treatment Equivalent to Full-Time Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Nexon is conducting a recruitment-type internship called ‘Nectorial’ in the second half of the year. To select competitive employees, they have offered unprecedented conditions such as the same salary and benefits as full-time employees and personalized growth programs for each individual.
According to Nexon on the 27th, applications for participation in Nectorial will be accepted on the Nexon Company recruitment website until the 6th of next month. Candidates will be selected through document screening, job competency tests, and interviews, and the final successful candidates will work as interns for about six months from November 1st this year to the end of April next year.
Nectorial is a name combining ‘tutorial,’ which is learning the game’s worldview and controls before starting the full game, and ‘Nexon.’ Nexon plans to provide a close-knit internship program so that intern participants can experience Nexon’s organizational culture and work as realistically as possible.
Basic training to improve organizational adaptability for newcomers, mentoring by senior employees, and Nexon’s unique in-house cultural and artistic experience program ‘Nexon Forum’ that stimulates employees’ creativity and spirit of challenge will be continuously provided. At the same time, job training provided by the field departments, specialized training by headquarters, and actual work performance will be systematically and sequentially conducted over six months.
In particular, unlike existing internship programs, the same level of salary and benefits as full-time employees will be provided. For the Nexon Korea development job group, participants in this internship will receive a monthly salary equivalent to an entry-level annual salary of 50 million KRW, and enjoy the same level of welfare benefits as full-time employees, including support for ‘Nexon Cash’ for playing Nexon games, club activity expenses, self-development expenses, and support for anniversaries and family events.
Nexon has not set a separate conversion rate or number of hires, aiming to recruit as many people as possible who are interested in the game industry and have growth potential.
