Incheon TP Hosts Incheon Preliminary Round of SW Convergence Hackathon Competition

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is recruiting participants for the Incheon regional preliminary round of the "8th Korea Software (SW) Convergence Hackathon Competition."
A hackathon is a combination of hacking and marathon, an event to discover leading digital New Deal technologies by continuously planning ideas and going through programming processes for 42.195 hours to present SW services or prototypes.
The participation categories include three tasks: "Development of DNA-based SW convergence products or services," "Development of SW convergence products and services responding to the COVID-19 pandemic," and "Development of smart manufacturing technologies, products, and services applying SW convergence."
Eligibility for the preliminary round is Incheon citizens aged 15 or older, and applications can be submitted through the Incheon TP SW Promotion Center website from September 29 to October 1.

Incheon TP plans to select three representative teams from Incheon to advance to the finals through a document review of participating teams. The finals, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, will be held online from October 29 to 31.
