Wanju-gun Grade 5 Promoted Officials Donate Funds for Multicultural Families
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] The officials promoted to grade 5 (section chief and director) in Wanju County donated 4 million won on the 20th to support multicultural families.
The eight grade 5 promotees who donated the funds are Kim Yeon-ju, General Civil Affairs Division Chief; Song Wan-geun, Council Specialist; Lee Yeon-jeong, Health Promotion Division Chief; Jeong Soon-yeon, Rural Support Division Chief; Park Yi-su, Technology Extension Division Chief; Moon Joo-hwan, Wanju Industrial Complex Office Director; Nam Seok, Unju-myeon Chief; and Lee Jin-sook, Health Center Division Chief.
They delivered the donation to the ‘1111 Social Communication Fund’ and expressed their hope that “this small but meaningful Chuseok gift will bring comfort to multicultural families who have become even more vulnerable due to COVID-19.”
Meanwhile, Wanju County launched the ‘1111 Social Communication Fund,’ which encourages donations of 100 won, 1,000 won, 10,000 won, or 1% of income, through an agreement with the Community Business Foundation in 2016.
The 1111 Social Communication Fund is expanding as a citizen fundraising movement aimed at resolving welfare blind spots and various regional challenges in Wanju County.
