Yeonggwang County Accepting Applications for 'Hope Recovery Fund' for Small Business Owners

[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy, Honam News Bureau, Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Junseong) announced on August 20 that applications are now being accepted for the Hope Recovery Fund, which targets small business owners and small enterprises affected by COVID-19 prevention measures, as designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

This financial support aims to broadly assist businesses that have faced difficulties due to restrictions such as business shutdowns and limitations on operations, as well as those in industries experiencing significant management crises, even if they were not directly subject to prevention measures. Applications have been accepted online since August 17, with prompt disbursement planned.

Eligible recipients are small enterprises (small business owners) registered with the National Tax Service, established before June 30, and not closed as of July 6. The first round of rapid payments includes previous recipients of the "Buttress Fund Plus" among businesses subject to shutdowns, operational restrictions, management crisis industries, and some general industries. Applications and payments for these groups have been available since August 17.

The second round of rapid payments will cover multiple-business owners, businesses newly included due to expanded criteria for sales decline, businesses that opened after March, and additional businesses subject to prevention measures as designated by the county. Applications for these groups will be accepted starting August 30.

Online application is the standard method. Applicants can search for "Hope Recovery Fund" (or "Small Business Hope Recovery Fund") on portal sites or enter "희망회복자금.kr" in the address bar to access the application page, where they can verify their identity and apply.

Governor Kim Junseong stated, "I hope that all small business owners affected by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic will apply for this support, and although it may be limited, I wish it could serve as much-needed relief during these difficult times."
