Appointment of Director Oh Seung-wook and Others as Non-Executive Directors of the Korean Film Archive
Director Kim Eun-young and Director Lee Jin-sook Reappointed
On the 20th, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism appointed eight non-executive directors to the Korean Film Archive. They include director Oh Seung-wook, known for the films "Mulehan" and "Kilimanjaro," Kwon Hyun-joon, Secretary General of the Daegu Video Media Center, Kim Seon-gu, CEO of SF Studio, Kim Seon-ah, Associate Professor in the Department of Performing and Film Arts at Dankook University, Kim Eun-young, Professor in the Department of Video Business at Chugye University for the Arts, Lee Jin-sook, CEO of Harbin Film Company, Im Jin-hee, Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Records and Information Science at Myongji University, and Jeon Young-moon, CEO and PD of Spoon Entertainment. Their terms are three years, until August 2024. However, due to reappointment, Kim Eun-young and Lee Jin-sook will serve one year until August next year. The Korean Film Archive is an institution that collects, preserves, and utilizes video materials to establish a foundation for the development of video culture. It also aims to expand cultural enjoyment opportunities for culturally marginalized groups and to promote domestic and international exchanges related to video.
