Jung Yong-hwa, Director of the 5·18 Archives, Caught Driving Under the Influence Without a License

Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 19th that Director Jeong of the 5·18 Archives submitted his resignation, and the resignation process is underway in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
On the 13th at around 4:30 PM, Director Jeong damaged his vehicle while parking it in the parking lot of the 5·18 Archives.
The police, who were dispatched following a report from the driver of the damaged vehicle, discovered the DUI offense.
At the time, Director Jeong was on leave and was reportedly drinking alcohol as a side drink while having a meal with acquaintances. It was confirmed that his driver's license had been canceled.
Director Jeong was appointed in November 2019 to the level 4 open position of the 5·18 Archives director in Gwangju City, with about three months remaining in his term.
