View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Department of Information and Communication Engineering at Honam University (Department Head Lee Yang-won) announced on the 19th that Professor Kang Mi-young has been appointed as a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Smart City Project Council.
The Gwangju Metropolitan City Smart City Project Council was established in accordance with the "Act on the Creation and Industrial Promotion of Smart Cities" and the "Ordinance on the Creation and Operation of Smart Cities in Gwangju Metropolitan City."
With the Deputy Mayor as the chairman, the council will perform necessary tasks for the smooth promotion of matters related to the management and operation of the implementation plan for the smart city construction project, securing finances, and completion inspections, as well as consultation and advisory roles related to smart city projects during the upcoming two-year term.
Professor Kang Mi-young said, "I feel a great sense of responsibility for the smart city projects being promoted in Gwangju, and I will do my best by combining my experience and knowledge as an expert."
