Gangjin-gun Announces Winners of Tourism Souvenir Contest
13 Works Selected, Total Prize Money of 13 Million Won

View original image[Gangjin=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-su] Gangjin-gun Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Kim Bada) announced 13 award-winning works as the results of the 2021 Gangjin-gun Tourism Souvenir Contest judging held on the 13th.
According to Gangjin-gun on the 19th, this contest was held to discover and foster excellent tourism souvenirs representing Gangjin-gun, in addition to celadon and agricultural and specialty products, and received entries from the entire nation from June 21 to July 30.
This contest strictly judged a total of 37 entries including folk and crafts, industrial products, processed and functional foods, and convergence products based on marketability, symbolism, design, and quality, selecting a total of 13 works: one gold prize, one silver prize, one bronze prize, and 10 honorable mentions.
The representative award-winning works were the gold prize “Gangjin Sticker Embracing Flowers, Gangjin-gun Travel Commemorative Keyring” (Kim * Young), the silver prize “Gang~Jjin Hansik Food T-shirt, Yeppeudam T-shirt” (Lee * Seok), and the bronze prize “Gangjin History’s Breath Set” (Kim * Yoon). Prize money totaling 13 million won was awarded, with 5 million won for the gold prize, 3 million won for the silver prize, and 2 million won for the bronze prize.
CEO Kim Bada said, “The tourism souvenirs discovered and fostered through this contest are expected to play a significant role in effectively promoting Gangjin tourism, as well as enhancing brand value and tourist satisfaction,” adding, “We will continue to plan various special contests that can promote Gangjin-gun.”
The foundation plans to sign contracts with the winners later to sell the souvenirs at Gangjin-gun tourism souvenir stores and support online sales through Naver’s ‘Smart Store.’
