Hancom to Launch Digital Gold Trading Platform 'Arowana Goldmore' on the 20th
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Hancom Group is launching the digital gold trading platform 'Arowana Goldmore' on the 20th.
According to Hancom on the 19th, Arowana Goldmore is a mobile service that converts physical gold into digital gold vouchers issued by the Arowana Gold Exchange, allowing gold to be traded online.
Gold can be purchased with cash or credit card according to real-time prices, and physical gold held by users can be exchanged for digital gold vouchers by visiting the Arowana Gold Exchange directly. Digital gold vouchers can also be redeemed for physical gold or repurchased for cash.
The company explained that there are no VAT or purchase fees, significantly reducing the cost of buying gold. However, when redeeming digital gold vouchers for physical gold, VAT and physical withdrawal fees apply, and repurchase fees are charged upon repurchase.
On the 12th, Hancom Group listed the Arowana Token on the Wise Bitcoin USDT market, a global digital asset exchange, laying the foundation for the global service of Arowana Goldmore.
'Arowana Hub,' which is responsible for the service and operation of Arowana Goldmore, plans to additionally provide gold trading using Arowana Tokens and gold-backed loan services. The company stated that it is currently undergoing necessary procedures such as registering as a virtual asset service provider under the Act on Reporting and Using Specified Financial Transaction Information (Special Financial Transactions Act).
To celebrate the app launch, Arowana Hub will give Arowana Tokens equivalent to 10% of the purchase amount to customers who buy at least 1 don of digital gold on Arowana Goldmore by the 31st. Each person can receive up to 5,000 Arowana Tokens.

A Hancom Group official said, "In addition to Arowana Goldmore and Hancom Pay, we will sequentially introduce major services of the Arowana Project," adding, "Besides the Arowana Project, Hancom Group companies plan to expand usability by utilizing Arowana Tokens as points or mileage in their own businesses."
