They continued, "However, the confirmed facts are entirely different," explaining, "The construction company discovered an anomaly during its own quality inspection process and reported it to the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which immediately sought external expert advice, reviewed reinforcement methods, and officially reported the matter to the National Railroad Corporation and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport."
They also stated, "It has been confirmed that initial reports of the internal fault were made to the National Railroad Corporation on three occasions: November 13, 2025, December 12, 2025, and January 16, 2026." Nevertheless, they explained, "Candidate Jung claimed, 'The matter was only reported to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport five and a half months after the problem occurred.'"
