Seoul Citizen University to Recruit Second Half Students from the 19th... Night and Customized Courses Also Offered
Seoul Citizen University Opens Enrollment for 215 Courses... 1st Term Starts September 6, 2nd Term November 1
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Citizens' University announced on the 18th that it will begin accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis from the 19th of this month for its second half-year programs.
The second half-year courses will be conducted in face-to-face, non-face-to-face, or hybrid formats depending on the characteristics of each course. The first session starts on September 6, and the second session begins on November 1. The hybrid method combines the advantages of face-to-face and non-face-to-face education to maximize learning effectiveness, with some sessions held in person and others online.
This year, the second half-year includes "targeted courses" designed for learners who can gain practical benefits, as well as "theme courses" reflecting socially relevant issues.
The targeted courses specify the most needed audience for each course, such as parents, homemakers, office workers, retirees, pet owners, and citizens preparing for or aspiring to become cultural interpreters. Particularly, a variety of courses covering topics from the recently emerging issues of "climate and environmental problems" to "building healthy relationships" and "five-senses satisfaction healing courses" have been prepared. Additionally, the "University-Linked Citizens' University," which leverages the specialized fields of 30 universities located in Seoul, will also be held.
Detailed information on schedules, instructors, and classrooms for each course can be found on the Seoul Lifelong Learning Portal. Citizens seeking consultation can contact the main campus or the Southeast campus for assistance.
