Samsung's New Laptop Surpasses Apple in US Consumer Reports Evaluation
[Asia Economy Reporter Joselgina] Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Book series released this year topped Apple to rank first in evaluations by a leading U.S. consumer media outlet.
According to the IT industry on the 18th, Consumer Reports in the U.S. recently gave the 'Galaxy Book Pro 360' a total score of 82 points, ranking it first overall in the laptop (12~13 inch) category. Apple’s 'MacBook Pro' followed in second place with 81 points.
The Galaxy Book Pro 360 was unveiled at Samsung Electronics' global Unpacked event held at the end of April this year, the first-ever event dedicated to laptops. It was simultaneously released worldwide on May 14.
In this evaluation, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 received an 'excellent' rating in three of the eight assessment categories: portability, display, and ergonomics. Consumer Reports stated, "Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360’s AMOLED touchscreen offers bright and accurate colors, high contrast, and wide viewing angles," adding, "It easily switches between laptop and tablet modes."
