Naver Onstage, Online Live Streaming of Indie Musicians' Performances
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The Naver Cultural Foundation announced on the 17th that it will live stream the sponsored live performances of ‘Club On Air’ on Naver Onstage to promote online performances by indie musicians and Hongdae clubs.
The performances will take place at 8 PM on the 18th at Rolling Hall in Hongdae and on the 24th at Veloso. The first performance at Rolling Hall will feature SURL, Macguffin, and Bulgogi Disco on stage, while the second performance at Veloso will showcase live performances by Kim Sawol, Kim Jehyung, and Dusky80.
This event focuses on ‘communication’ between musicians and audiences enjoying the online performances. After the show, an ‘online waiting room fan meeting’ will also be live streamed, providing an opportunity to hear honest stories such as the musicians’ thoughts on the performance and recent updates.
In particular, to enhance the technical quality of the online live stream, split screens, one-take broadcasts, and 360-degree shooting cuts will be provided.

Users who sponsor the performance with 10,000 won or more will receive a live viewing ticket for the performance, and all sponsorship funds will be returned to the indie musicians.

Lim Jiin, Secretary General of the Naver Cultural Foundation, said, "Online performances cannot replace offline performances, but from a long-term perspective, we considered that it could be a channel to expand the performance stages of the indie scene," adding, "Through technical experiments and attempts in online live streaming, we hope this Onstage sponsored live performance will be a good option for enjoying online performances and an opportunity to support indie musicians and Hongdae clubs."
