KB Savings Bank Relaunches 'Plus Kiwi Savings' Offering 5% Annual Benefits
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] KB Savings Bank relaunched the ‘Plus Kiwi (kiwi) Savings Account’ on the 17th.
This product is linked to KB Financial Group’s integrated membership platform ‘Liiv Mate’. It surpassed 10,000 accounts within 17 days of its first launch last year.
The term is 12 months, and it is an online-only product available through Liiv Mate. The basic interest rate is 2% per annum, and if conditions are met, benefits of up to 5% per annum can be received.
Preferential interest rates include an additional 1 percentage point when more than 10 automatic transfers are made from the ‘Kiwi Deposit and Withdrawal Account’ or the ‘Kiwi Deposit and Withdrawal (Liiv Mate) Account’. When the maturity target amount is set from a minimum of 500,000 KRW to a maximum of 3,000,000 KRW, the monthly payment amount is automatically calculated.
Also, if users agree to the Plus Notifications (marketing notifications) on the Liiv Mate application (app) and log in at least once a month for more than six months, interest equivalent to 2% per annum at maturity will be specially accumulated as points.
