One Personal Information Commission Staff Member Tests Positive for COVID-19... Yoon Jong-in Chairman and Others Undergo COVID-19 Testing
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] One employee of the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) tested positive for COVID-19, leading Chairman Yoon Jong-in (ministerial level) and Vice Chairman Choi Young-jin (vice-ministerial level) to undergo testing.
According to the PIPC and the Seoul Government Complex Management Office on the 14th, one PIPC employee working on the 4th floor of the main building of the Seoul Government Complex was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
The employee worked normally from the 10th to the 12th, showed suspicious symptoms on the 13th, underwent testing, and was confirmed positive on the morning of the following day.
The Seoul Government Complex Management Office stated that Chairman Yoon and Vice Chairman Choi were presumed to be contacts of the employee and, along with about 10 other employees working in the same office, were proactively tested and instructed to stay at home.
