Asset Registration Details of 105 High-Ranking Officials Disclosed via Electronic Official Gazette by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee
[The Asia Business Daily, Reporter Ryu Jungmin] According to the July special asset disclosure results released by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee, Park Jongseung, Director of the Agency for Defense Development under the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, reported the highest amount of assets among current officials, with over 6.2 billion won.
The Government Public Officials Ethics Committee on July 30 publicly disclosed the asset registration details of 105 high-ranking public officials through the Republic of Korea’s electronic official gazette. The subjects of the asset disclosure include 39 newly appointed officials, 19 promoted officials, and 40 retirees, totaling 105 individuals.
Among current high-ranking officials, Park Jongseung, Director of the Agency for Defense Development under the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, reported assets of 6,234,620,000 won; Lee Jingyu, Governor of Hamgyeongnam-do, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, reported 6,177,700,000 won; and Park Byungho, President of Jeonnam Provincial University, reported 5,821,530,000 won, ranking first to third, respectively.

Among retired high-ranking officials, Lee Eungse, former President of the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development under the Ministry of Health and Welfare, reported 7,336,510,000 won; Song Dayoung, former Director of the Women and Family Policy Office of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, reported 6,982,710,000 won; and Seo Junghyup, former First Deputy Mayor for Administration of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, reported 6,499,820,000 won, ranking first to third, respectively.
