"Product Name Auto-Correction" Naver Shopping Applies Large-Scale AI 'HyperCLOVA'
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] Naver announced on the 28th that it has applied the large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) HyperCLOVA to its shopping platform.
According to Naver, when complex and lengthy product names containing a lot of information such as product codes, detailed specifications, and event details are displayed on the shopping platform, HyperCLOVA automatically corrects them.
For example, '(Brand Name) Coin Wallet (Product Code)' is corrected to 'Coin Wallet for Children's Safety.'
Heo Ji-ae, leader of Naver CLOVA CIC, said, "In a shopping platform showcasing various products, long product names are often not fully visible or get cut off, so it is very important to use efficient and concise product copy," adding, "We expect that product name correction using HyperCLOVA will help users easily find the products they want among many options."
HyperCLOVA has also been integrated into 'AiMD,' Naver's AI that automatically generates shopping promotions. AiMD automates the entire process of promotion creation, from selecting themes and writing titles to choosing products, just like an actual shopping planner.
Currently, Naver Shopping's internal operators are using AiMD to publish promotions, and the AI is efficiently creating promotions similar to existing ones. There are plans to provide this service to individual Smart Store sellers after further advancement.
HyperCLOVA will also be applied to a shopping review summarization system that condenses thousands or tens of thousands of shopping reviews into a single line.
