[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] KFC Korea announced on the 23rd that it has signed an MOU with TriumphX, a cross-chain based NFT developer, to collaborate on blockchain research and integrate NFT technology into its business.
NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a technology that stores ownership of specific digital files on an immutable blockchain. It adds scarcity to digital content and supports free transactions between individuals, which has led to its rapid adoption across various fields such as gaming, sports, art, music, character, and brand content.
According to NFT market analysis firm NonFungible.com, the NFT transaction volume in the first quarter of this year was approximately 2 trillion KRW, showing remarkable growth compared to last year's volume of 400 billion KRW.
