On the 23rd, Ottogi announced that two types of 'Green Garden Fried Rice' recently received vegan certification from the Korea Vegan Certification Institute. The two 'Green Garden Fried Rice' products, made from vegetable ingredients last year, have enhanced their credibility through this certification.
The 'Green Garden Curry Fried Rice' is a product harmoniously blending the flavors of seven vegetables?green beans, water chestnuts, red bell peppers, carrots, onions, green onions, and garlic?with mild curry. It features the texture of green beans and water chestnuts that can be chewed along with the rice grains.
The 'Green Garden Morning Glory Fried Rice' includes seven vegetables: water spinach (morning glory), cabbage, green onions, onions, carrots, chives, and garlic. It is flavored with garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil, highlighting water spinach, which is commonly used in Southeast Asian cuisine.
The cooking method is also simple. Place the frozen fried rice in a microwave-safe container, cover it with plastic wrap, and heat for about 4 minutes to enjoy delicious vegetable fried rice. When cooking in a frying pan, add oil and cook over medium heat for about 3 minutes.
Previously, Ottogi has been expanding its presence in the vegetarian market by introducing vegetable ramen that consumers pursuing veganism can enjoy without burden.
In 2019, Ottogi attracted attention by launching 'Chaehwang,' meaning 'Emperor of Vegetable Ramen.' 'Chaehwang' is ramen made with broth from 10 kinds of vegetables and received vegan product certification from the Vegan Society, a UK-based vegan association. The Vegan Society, established in 1944 in the UK, is the oldest vegan organization in the world.
