View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] NS Home Shopping announced on the 20th that it participated in the June 2021 FoodAnalysisProficiencyAssessment CapabilityEvaluation (FAPAS) international proficiency testing program operated by the UK Food and Environment Research Agency (FERA) and received an excellent rating for its analytical capabilities.
FAPAS is an international comparative proficiency test conducted by the UK FERA. It is an experiment that evaluates the level of analytical capability by comparing proficiency among research institutes worldwide. The main test items include the evaluation of agricultural and food chemical analysis capabilities in the fields of pesticide residues, heavy metals, and food additives. Government agencies, universities, and private analytical institutions from around the world undergo annual verification of their analytical capabilities to be recognized for world-class analytical skills.
In FAPAS, when the results of sample analysis are submitted, the error range among participating institutions is calculated, and if the absolute value of the test result is 2 or less, it is considered satisfactory; the closer the absolute value is to 0, the more excellent the analytical capability is evaluated.
NS Home Shopping has participated in a total of seven tests since 2012 and passed them. This year, it conducted six microbiological partial tests last month and was recognized for its excellent analytical capability with high accuracy (z-score value within ± 2.0) and received final passing notification in July.
