Gyeonggi-do, Online Applications for Menstrual Product Support for Adolescent Girls Open Until the 18th
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is extending the online application period for the 'Universal Support for Basic Menstrual Products for Female Adolescents' until the 18th of this month.
This project targets 109,000 female adolescents aged 11 to 18 living in 14 cities and counties including Ansan, Gunpo, Gwangju, Gimpo, Icheon, Anseong, Hanam, Yeoju, Yangpyeong, Guri, Pocheon, Dongducheon, Gapyeong, and Yeoncheon, providing a monthly allowance of 11,500 KRW per person for purchasing menstrual products starting this month.
Applications can be submitted online or via mobile by accessing the application site (voucher.konacard.co.kr/41/3) and completing mobile phone identity verification by the 18th.
If applicants miss the deadline or have difficulty verifying their mobile phone number, they can also apply at their local eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare center until December 10th.
The province explained that since female adolescents are more familiar with online platforms than offline ones, the online application period was extended to encourage more applications from female adolescents.
Among the 14 cities and counties, Gimpo City, which operates a different local currency system, accepts applications through the city hall website (http://gimpoyouth.co.kr) until the 25th of this month. Additionally, applications will be accepted at eup/myeon/dong offices starting from the 2nd of next month. Yeoju City accepts applications only at eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers.
