Despite the 4th Wave, 52 Including Owner Raided for Operating Illegal Entertainment Bars in Gangnam...
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Despite the closure order, 52 people including the owner, the person in charge of operations, and customers were caught in a raid at an illegal entertainment bar that continued to operate.
On the 10th, the Suseo Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked the owner, Mr. A, and the person in charge of operations, Mr. An, on charges of violating the Food Sanitation Act. They had rented a regular restaurant in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, which was supposed to be closed, by paying daily rent and converted it into an 'unauthorized entertainment bar' to operate it.
It was investigated that they secretly operated the business by employing 20 female hostesses and recruiting customers through touts.
At 11:33 p.m. the previous day, police received a 112 report stating, "Women who appear to be hostesses are entering a building." With support from the fire department, the police forcibly opened the locked door and entered the premises. They arrested Mr. An, who tried to escape, and caught hostesses hiding in the storage room.
